For those of you who don’t know, Zeal for the Lost (Z4L) meets corporately every Monday and Thursday at the local college to practice what we preach.
We realize that the following endeavor will be a massive and hopefully unending project, however it is something that simply must be done. In an attempt to pray for all those we have witnessed to in the past, at least those to whom we remember names for, we at Z4L wish to post and update this ongoing prayer list of souls. None of these deserves more or less prayer than any other.
Since we are commanded to preach the gospel to every creature, we also believe in praying for those we preach to. Praying that God would give increase to the seed that we planted or watered (1 Corinthians 3:7), and knowing that His word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11), we trust that God will draw men to His side through His Holy Spirit (John 6:44, 65) convicting them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). So we trust that God will do as He pleases, and believe we as His children should pray and petition His throne for these souls that we so deeply care for. Pray for souls we talk with, those who receive gospel tracts, and pray for the tracts that go out.
What a tragedy it would be if these souls never had a saint to pray for them. How many people do you pray for? Just your family and close friends? Rather, how many people do you think pray for you? Please, don’t be overwhelmed by the length of this list. But see each name as a soul to pray to God’s throne for. Just pick some, and stick with those same so that they are always prayed for.
Laboring with you in Christ for His name’s sake,
Z4L Ministry Team (1 Cor 9:16)

Winter Jam 2/7/08 – Alan, Summer; Bianca, Ashley (guy); JuKody; Chris, Jonathan, Austin; Tim; and many others we were able to intimately share the Gospel with. What a wonderful night of encouragement and grace from the Lord to preach His Gospel. Visit our blog post on the night’s testimonies!
January 2008
Monday 1/14 – Adam, Troy, and I talked with a guy (unnamed) for over an hour in the freezing cold. This was his third gospel intervention in the last couple of months. The first two by Adam urging him to repent and believe the gospel. Please pray for him (i’ll remember his name soon). Jeremiah Ornelas stood close by observing our conversation. Adam saw his curiosity and approached him. It turns out that we witnessed to him over a year ago and gave him a Paul Washer cd. He has never been the same since. Praise God for how He still works in hearts. Jeremiah even came to one of our church services Sunday (1/20/08). Praise the Lord! You never know what will come of giving someone a tract, cd, or sharing the Gospel with them.
Thursday 1/10 – Tony Hobbs (Troy, Adam, & I); several others at S. College and West Jones street gas station. Most were hostile to the Gospel but some took our tracts. We pray as always that God does a work in their hearts.

Ian is a Hindu and a believer in reincarnation based on good deeds. He had no knowledge whatsoever of the Gospel. Please pray that Ian will see his urgent need for Jesus Christ.]

He was there to here the preaching, was urged to consider these things by Jon Bohannan, and later invited to a local college ministry where Jon continued to labor with him imploring him to repent and believe. Finally, L.J. saw his need and was filled with conviction and then great joy. Please pray for him that God would grow him in the knowledge of Christ.
